Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital’s orthopaedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC, who has been continuously staging protests demanding reforms in Nepal’s medical education, has warned to begin a hunger strike again, if the Parliament does not begin a procedure to impeach Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Chief Lokman Singh Karki.Addressing a programme organised by Solidarity for Dr KC Alliance in Pokhara on Saturday, Dr KC also demanded with the government to investigate into property of CIAA Chief Karki.According to Dr KC, lawmakers did not have courage to impeach Karki as they were also involved in irregularities. While staging his eighth fast-unto-death in July, KC had demanded that Karki be impeached. He, however, had agreed not to raise the issue further as a proposal was registered at the Parliament demanding that the House hold discussions on the issue.
