Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala has said that the top three leaders should play the role of guardians in the party. Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, Koirala stressed the need of giving the leadership responsibility to the new generation from the party’s upcoming general convention to take the party ahead with a new thinking and dynamism.
Responding to a query, she said that it was a great mistake on the part of the party to break the alliance with the CPN (UML) to resolve the Tarai problem as well as to intensify the development of the country. Leader Koirala clarified that the Madhes-based political parties have been support the border blockade imposed by India, adding that the country should keep good relations with India and China. She also stressed the need of strengthening relation with India keeping the nationality in mind. She also blamed the five leaders of the Madhes-centric political parties for taking benefits for themselves in the name of the Madhes.
