Maharajgunj-based Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) today provided the autopsy report of Manisha Gharti Magar, the 17-year-old sister of national football team striker Bimal Gharti Magar, to Nawalparasi Police.
Manisha was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her home in Bardaghat Municipality, Nawalparasi, on Thursday. She was alone when the incident occurred since her mother had gone to Butwal for treatment.
Inspector Prakash Sapkota said, "The report provided by the Hospital is sealed into an envelope. Police who reached TUTH to receive the report have no right to read it. We'll inform about the report's content once we get it." Nawalparasi SP Rajendra Prasad Chaudhary informed that they will launch the investigation into the case after receiving autopsy report on Wednesday. However, the doctors at the forensic department of TUTH revealed that Manisha's died from hanging. Doctor of forensic department, Harihar Vastika said that 'pressure mark' was seen in Manisha's neck. Further investigation will be launched by police to know if Manisha hung herself or not. Meanwhile, a team of experts from Pokhara conducted a polygraph test today on Manisha's boyfriend, Rudra Narayan Chaudhary (Ashish), who is in custody for investigation in suspicion of involvement in the murder.
