Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) has vowed to firmly stand in favor of the present government.Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, the RPP-N stated that the party will continue to support the current government as the party is a responsible coalition partner in the government. RPP-N is the fourth largest party in the parliament.The party has urged UCPN (Maoist) to revisit its decision to push for forming a new government under the leadership of its chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.Chairman of RPP-N, Kamal Thapa, tweeted, “The game of changing the government will only make nationality weak and complicate the constitutional implementation task. I urge UCPN-Maoist to review its decision. Somewhat loose translation of his tweet further read, “For our nation’s self-esteem, it’s a moment of trial by fire.”As per the party’s press statement, the change in government would hamper the ongoing tasks of reconstruction and rehabilitation apart from weakening national interests and sovereignty.
